Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing, accessing, or using Boop Ludo or this website, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

You must be legally able to accept these terms in your location. If you are using the app on behalf of someone else, you confirm that you have permission to do so.

2. The Current Service

Boop is an offline-first entertainment game. The current app lets one person play Red against automated opponents in a 2, 3, or 4-player Ludo match. It includes dice turns, six-to-enter, extra rolls, captures, exact home rolls, highlighted legal moves, local settings, and a rules guide.

Gameplay is local and does not require a network connection. When the account service is configured and available, the app may create or restore a device-bound account and sync a nickname and curated avatar for the profile screen and local matches.

3. Device-Bound Account

The app may use a device-bound account to keep a limited profile available on the same device. You are responsible for choosing a nickname that does not contain passwords, contact details, or other sensitive information.

You may clear local session and profile data from the app. Local clearing does not necessarily delete a remote account record. To request remote deletion, use Me > Delete account in the app. The request starts a 25-day pending deletion period; signing in again during that period cancels the request and restores the account. The account deletion instructions and Privacy Policy explain the data scope and retention conditions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the app and website lawfully and only for their intended purposes. You must not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, tamper with, or interfere with the app, website, account service, or security controls.
• Use automation, scripts, or unauthorized tools to access or stress the account service.
• Attempt to access another person's account, impersonate another person, or submit harmful or misleading profile information.
• Use the service in a way that violates applicable law or infringes another person's rights.

We may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties.

5. Availability and Changes

Local gameplay may continue when account sync is unavailable. Network-dependent profile features may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. We may update, remove, or add app functionality in later releases, and the terms for a later feature will apply when that feature is actually offered.

We do not promise that the app or website will always be available, error-free, compatible with every device, or free of interruptions.

6. Ownership

Boop and its licensors retain all rights in the app, website, software, text, design, trademarks, and other materials, except for rights owned by third parties. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose on a device you control.

You may not copy, resell, distribute, or create derivative works from the app or website except as allowed by applicable law or the platform rules that apply to your installation.

7. Disclaimer and Liability

The app and website are provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties that cannot be excluded by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss arising from use of the app or website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

8. Changes and Contact

We may update these terms when the app, website, or applicable requirements change. The updated version will show a new effective date. Continued use after an update means that you accept the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
